Redis package for conda-forge?

Any chance anyone would be willing to put together a redis package?

I’ve been happily using the one in defaults for years, and only just noticed that it hasn’t been updated in a long, long time. And the Windows version seems to be broken (or at least doesn’t install redis-server command on the PATH)

And if you go to the official Redis site, you’re stuck with installing WSL on Windows, and HomeBrew on the Mac – this seems like exactly what conda is for :slight_smile:

Anyway, it would be great to have it, but I dont have the skills to do it :frowning: --though I could at least test the Mac build, and maybe do that.

There is the redis-server package on conda-forge: redis-server - conda-forge Is this missing something?

Nope – I"m missing something! I"ve been using “redis” from defaults for years, I never noticed that there is a “redis-server” package!

OK – not noise.

What I need is a Windows version – redis on Windows is a pain in the $%#.

If anyone has the chops to buld a Windows package – that would be great.
